As you may know, TPT popularity data is still not populating. Now that TPT has released its new Keyword Finder tool, our team is actively evaluating the available data to determine how we can best incorporate it into our SEO Tools.
In the meantime, we're using historical data to estimate keyword demand so we want to share a bit more onĀ how that works, what it means for each metric and tool, and how to keep making smart keyword decisions right now.
Since real-time popularity data isn't available, we're now using past years' popularity data to estimate current demand. In simple terms: we look at how a keyword performed during this same period in previous years, and use that as a stand-in for today's numbers. This gives you a helpful sense of direction.

As a result, popularity scores within YDP are currently frozen at their last available update on July 28, but the majority of the platform continues to function normally.
